This Rick Sutcliffe is not the baseball player, the mining engineer nor the British headmaster. Rick Sutcliffe is professor of mathematics and computing science at Trinity Western University. He is the author of two textbooks, one on computer programming, the other on ethical and social issues relating to technology. He has also written several Irish Christian Science fiction novels (alternate history) exploring themes in Biblically-informed ethical decision making. His technology column "The Northern Spy" was first published in 1983. He also collects puns and other English language quirks at opundo.com and has a Christian resources collection at sheaves.org. When not occupied writing, teaching, gardening and keeping the church books, he runs a domain name registration and hosting service at ArjayWeb.com. Rick Sutcliffe and his wife Joyce lived together in Aldergrove and Bradner British Columbia, (the latter the home of the annual flower show) where he continues to dwell with the help of family following Joyce's call home to heaven in 2001. |
